Seamaster Chronometers made post 1952 are one of Omega's seldom seen vintage watches. They featured all of the rugged spottiness of the Seamaster line coupled with an officially certified chronometer movement.
After their release and after Omega divided the line into two models in 1952, the "plain" Seamaster, a sport watch without chronometer certification, and the Constellation, the higher-end chronometer option, Omega only made a relatively few Seamaster Chronometers.
It is all-original down to the untouched dial, hands, winding crown, bracelet, and even signed Omega crystal and gaskets. No parts have been replaced. The metal ring around the date window is original as well, despite the slight tone difference.
It is in pleasing condition.
Its full size case is in excellent condition with light wear and has not been polished. It's 35mm diameter is in between the size of a Rolex Date and a Rolex Datejust.
Its dial is original and shows only light aging. Its original "Beads of Rice" bracelet presents as just short of mint with light signs of polishing. And its officially certified chronometer movement is near pristine.
Our watchmaker has just freshly cleaned it, and it is keeping very accurate time.
