This is a stunning vintage strand by Matsumoto Pearl. It features large and lustrous baroque Japanese saltwater akoya cultured pearls. 

The pearls are 7.50mm. They are off round with fantastic luster and bright pink overtones. They are a pinkish white color. Moderate amount of blemishes as is common with baroque pearls. Fantastic quality, they seem to glow. 

Clasp is in solid yellow gold and features a braided design with three 6.00mm pearls set in the center. It is heavy and stamped "K14" for 14K yellow gold and has another mark I cannot make out. Comes in the original box which is in great shape. Some light corner wear due to age. Signed "SILVERWARE & JEWELRY" "MATSUMOTO" "NIKKATSU TOKYO". Total length is 32 inches. From Japan 1940's-1950's.

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
